Deposits:

Required at the time of booking: 50% of the total balance, sent by email money transfer.

We are not set up to take credit card payments. Paying by email money transfer saves you the 3.5% Convenience Fee that would have to be applied to all debit/credit card transactions.

Refunds:

Cancellations up to two months in advance are fully refundable. Unfortunately, we are a small business and lost bookings represent a loss to us, and a missed opportunity for others. If you cancel within two months of your scheduled arrival, 50% of the total rental fee will be kept.

Selling Your Reservation

This current trend is strictly forbidden. All reservations are non-transferable. Package offerings/passes will only ever be given to the person who made the reservation.

Occupancy Policy:

Number of People on Site

OUR COTTAGE IS NOT RENTED OUT AS A PARTY VENUE! There is a strict six person maximum rule. The only people allowed on site for the night are registered guests. Unregistered daytime guests are not allowed on the property, unless we have been informed. Please contact us to let us know if you are planning on having daytime visitors. We have a 6-person maximum in our cottage. Our cottage septic is not set up for more people. No tents or trailers are allowed on site, as per subdivision covenants. This will be strictly enforced and may result in eviction.

No Pet Policy:

We have a no pet policy at The Sands at Darnley. There is a $200 dollar fine for bringing a pet into the building.

Smoking Policy:

The Sands at Darnley is a smoke free cottage, so if you indulge, take it outside! There is a $200 dollar fine for smoking inside the cottage. Please place all cigarette butts in the firepit.

Cannabis Policy

The Sands at Darnley is 100% Cannabis Free. The use and consumption of cannabis is prohibited on our property through the terms of the rental.

Damage Deposit:

You Are Responsible for Any Damages

A credit card number must be provided one week prior to your arrival. No charge will be placed on the credit card, unless damage is done. We ask that you leave the cottage as you find it. If excessive cleaning is required, it may result in additional charges being placed on your credit card.
